Job Description:

Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Project Lead based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems; responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release; assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel; collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods; supervise, train, and mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding; represent team in project meetings; work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended; mentor/direct work for large teams of programmers in one or more projects; represent project teams in project/program meetings or in meetings with sponsor; monitor and direct the workflow of smaller consulting projects or segments of larger projects, including design of project plans; initiate and maintain client relationships; anticipate and identify client issues and concerns and propose advice as appropriate; and, supervise and review the work of IT professionals.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 7 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer, Systems Analyst, or closely related IT position. The applicant must also have professional experience: any period of professional experience overseeing design, development and support of web based intranet and internet applications; any period of professional experience writing Use cases and Test Documents; any period of professional experience managing the development, implementation, and installation of applications using languages/platforms including Liferay, JAVA, Spring MVC, iBatis or Mybatis, JSP, Servlets, Web Services, Jquery, JavaScript, HTML, and XML; any period of professional experience in writing SQL statements using database normalization in ORACLE or DB2; any period of professional experience writing deployment build scripts using ANT or Bamboo; and any period of professional experience overseeing a team of IT professionals.
