Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Team Lead primarily focused on accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, bank interfaces, financial reporting, and all aspects of financial/accounting management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Leads a small group of consulting and client resources to implement the SAP AP and AR modules.

Leads the team through application of basic knowledge of processes and systems to ensure output.

Experience used to troubleshoot and improve and/or create new processes. Frequently expected to find solutions within learned fields of activities. Analysis and solution proposition of usually defined problems.

Ability to exercise independent judgment in a narrow/limited scope; must compare alternate courses of action and decide after considering the options.

Recommend ways of improving the existing system and processes

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• At least 2-3 SAP accounts payable and accounts receivable implementations

• 7 years’ strong computer and analytical skills

• 7 years’ SAP experience or ERP system application

• Experience implementing an AP OCR solution similar to Esker, OpenText, or others

• Experience designing and implementing SAP Banking interfaces (JPM Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.)

• Experience implementing Escheatments and P-Cards in SAP

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or systems

• Implement solutions in timely manner

• Able to work under tight deadlines

• Requires significant attention to details

• Proven ability to thrive in a team environment and willing to assist other team members to achieve team goals and objectives and share learning with other team members.

• Strong communications skills, both oral and written, required to resolve issues and enforce policy where required; must be comfortable in interacting with others

• Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Organizational and time management skills

• Professional and has a service-oriented approach

• Independent and self-driven. Demonstrates assertiveness in pursuing open issues to closure.

• Systems Experience - MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word are a must. SAP and Business Warehouse are desirable

Preferred Skills

• Must have experience with MS office, including Work, Outlook and Excel.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all organizational levels

You may also be responsible for unit testing, contribute to integration testing, and/or be responsible for the design and delivery of end-user training.

• Qualification: Minimum 3 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Should have or seeking SE Level 1.

• Should be proficient in Package Configuration.

• Should have progressing skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management
