Capgemini Test Analyst - Quality Engineer in Seattle, Washington


• Design and build automated test programs from requirements, user stories, test strategy, test models, and application designs following established coding standards and practices.

• Create configurations that setup and schedule automated tests using the automation programs in Jenkins.

• E2E business scenario execution and execution of Automated scripts, maintained or update for release specific issues.

• Provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) on defects identified in the automation program during System Integration Test, and End-to-End test cycles and identify the code component that is the cause of the issues.

• Provide error detection and diagnosis information on test execution failures that enable either updates to test case understanding or application bug fixes with developers

• Create technical documentation and maintain Automation Test artifacts (Test program, Test Data, Test Stubs/Harnesses, configurations)

• Support Operational acceptance testing

• Maintaining the test artifacts in HP ALM

• Daily hand offs between shores

Mandatory Skill Set:

• Developed applications web based or API using Java, HTML, CSS, XML

• Good programming knowledge in Java and JavaScript.

• Hands on experience on CI tools like Jenkins and its integration to Automated scripts.

• Hands on experience in developing automation scripts using Selenium with Java.

• Experience in API Automation and related area like JSON processing, Apache HTTP Commons package.

• Experience in JavaScript (JS).

• Working experience using Jenkins and integrating automated scripts.

• Extensive experience in defect triage and resolution

Desired Skill Set

• Experience in understanding applications using Angular.

• Experience in using static code analysis tools like SonarQube.

• Experience in Python scripting

• Testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma.

• Knowledge of message oriented middleware like RabbitMQ or Kafka

• DevOps Certified

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Test Consultants are concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process. Testing is carried out in each phase: the requirements are tested by an acceptance test, the system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test, and the programs by a program and module test.

Required Skills and Experience:

You design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests. You perform many of the roles required of a software testing project, through which you acquire a full testing lifecycle experience. Typically you perform these roles as a senior member in a wider team. You act as a stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a limited number of technology areas. You contribute to bid or client proposals based on your technological expertise. You have delivery ownership and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes. You also actively participate in at least one community.

• Qualification: Minimum 5 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Should have SE level 1 and seeking level 2.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Software Engineering, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
